6/30/11

First things first, things I haven't blogged about... Ballroom! Ballroom last Saturday was quite the blast! We had a massive spontaneous Madagascar dance party. Then later on in the day, I went to Ivan's birthday party and ate a TON of salmon and honey prawns. My favesies! Then went to Juli's dance recital! I bought Juli a rose and it kept scratching me :(. I was glad I got to go because I very much enjoyed it. So many amazing dancers that I'm envious of. The other day, Juli, Madi, Corey, and I had a spontaneous hangout! We watched I Married an Ax Murderer, ate a ton of jelly beans, hung out with Winston, and had cherry juice! AGT yesterday was kind of dull. Javier won The Voice! I wished Dia or Vicci won :(. Oh well, they're all good. Today, Davis and I were searching for jumbo sized toy stuffed animals and Pooh Bear items. hahahaha Oh my goodness! AGT with Cindy Chang... she was amazing! Oh yeah, I also went shopping earlier and saw THE Madison Tirrell! I also got a shirt from Forever 21, two shorts from Aero, and a scarf from Charlotte Russe. :) Go sales! :D

Adam Levine! After hearing him sing Moves Like Mick Jagger with Christina Aguilera on The Voice, I've loved him ever since! Along with Joseph Gordon- Levitt, of course. I am going to end this blog post with this wonderful conclusion! I made a list of 100 things to do before summer ends and I'm so excited to work on it :)!

Friday!

I got the lovely chance of hanging out spontaneously with Corey and Madi! We went to the park, barged into Relay For Life (we had no idea it was happening, but we followed the music they were playing), went to a garage sale, went on an adventure, and then hung out in my backyard with beach chairs. :)! We had ice cream, music, and played four square. We also did interpretive dancing. Pretty amazing stuff.
Lounging.

I'm scrubbing it. I also find a painting/crayon/marker thing I made in elementary. I could never do something that amazing again.

Last week of school as a freshie!

Well this freshman year was been... interesting to say the least. But onto this week!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sunday was Father's Day! Being the larry lameo I am, I didn't get a gift for Dad :(. We went out for Brewery City Pizza though. Yum yum!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Monday: After school, Corey and Davis came over and watched AGT :)! SO FUN. Also, Lina has started making Egyptian ratscrew an amazingly popular game.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tuesday: Pacer! I got a 53... I could have done better. Show choir auditions. It was terrifying. Liza and Rachel got in and I'm happy for them :). I have the song Sunshine, Lollipops, and Rainbows stuck in my head constantly though... I am officially no longer a 4.0 student. Oh well :(. Spontaneous hang out with some folks. It was quite dandy. Juli, Ha-Yoon, and I went to Madi's, Matt's, and Ethan's church to decorate cupcakes and cakes! It was SO fun. We got to meet Quinn Platter! It was so much fun. It brightened up my day getting to do all that. We made an ocean cake and won most creative. :)! We also made individual cupcakes and mine's the clown one :D!

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL AS A FRESHMAN. Thank goodness. This year has dragged on! School was actually quite fun today. We finished watching I Married an Axe Murderer in biology. Played lots of Egyptian Ratscrew during the day and ditched some classes, but came back because we got bored (teachers don't care anyways). Then afterwards, I planned out a picnic and POTO all pitched in money for Brewery City Pizza. It was so fun! :) Karina was the star of the group. hahahha Davis, Juli, and I had like this game of Egyptian Ratscrew that lasted for hours..... It was insane. In this game, us three bonded. It was hilarious. Queen Latifah and King Latifah (black spade of king and queen) are part of Juli's family. hahaha. Then when it was later and everyone left besides Madi, Juli, Davis, Maya, and Corey we chilled out with fold up beach chairs on the front lawn. So relaxing :)! Davis brought his Uke which was a joy to listen to. Today has been a great day. :)

6/17/11

Today has been quite the day! Woke up late for school (came in 2nd period), pushed myself so hard in the mile that I threw up so I went home, and then I got sick again after my piano recital. Woot! On the bright side, I came back to school to pick up homework and bring my text books to school at around 2 o' clock! Then I stayed there because Madi and Ha-Yoon wanted to play tennis. Davis, Corey, Juli, and Matt were also there! It was quite fun. My last piano recital with Kelly went pretty well! I was too sick to be nervous so I did pretty good... Hahahahahha! Show Choir auditions were today and Tuesday so I was having a hard time deciding what song to sing and Matt suggested Sunshine, Lollipops, and Rainbows (Lesley Gore) from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs! Everyone is like what the heck, but I love that song! It was so funny because my voice teacher, Bree, texted me and was trying to think of a song for me to sing and she also suggested that song out of the blue... COINCIDENCE.

Kelly gave everyone a gift since it's our last piano recital with her and she gave me manuscript paper for writing music! On the first page she wrote, "Lina, You are amazing! Continue to follow your dreams... I have no duobt that you will reach them! Love, Kelly". And then there's a quote that says ""I've never known a musician who regretted being one. Whatever deception life may have in store for you, music itself is not going to let you down." -Visgil Thomson, composer"
I'm going to miss her so much!

Yesterday, Michael gave me an amazing letter with A Very Potter Musical. Michael's such a cool kid in my book now.

UW Graduation and BHHS Graduation!

Yesterday was the graduation day for UW Tacoma and BHHS! Busy, busy day! In the morning, we went to Uncle Hai's graduation at the Tacoma Dome! There were 1000+ students... It took a while. But I'm so proud of Uncle Hai. We grew up together and have bonded throughout the years through insults and violence. I am truly proud of him and will miss him. I got him a gigantic card that he really loved :). He thought it was sweet which is so strange coming from him.

Congrats. So proud of you :)
Waiting outside for Uncle Hai with his gifts!
My Gift! There's sentimental words in there.
Phan Family :)

Then in the afternoon, I went to the BHHS graduation! I was late to the call time for choir! There was crazy traffic and I was freaking out. It took 2 hours to make it back to Olympia. But anywho, I'm so happy for the class of 2011. Very extremely happy. I will miss you guys. Don't forget me :).

Davis is such a playa with freshmen girl.

This picture makes me so happy. Congrats Davis :)

Their family portrait.

Wes wanted a picture and then Lauren photo bombed it.

Tess! Congrats on top 10 missy :)

Colleen! You're adorable!
Then after the BHHS graduation, we went to watch Super 8! We as in Davis, Madi, Ha-Yoon, Maya, Juli, and I. The movie was pretty stupid, but I had fun. :)
After Super 8! :)
I've said this before, but congrats to the Class of 2011! Best wishes to you all! Proud of each and everyone of you for this great accomplishment. :)

Last week of high school for the 2011 seniors.

Today was our last choir concert of the year and I'm going to miss all the seniors so much. It was an emotional concert... On the bright side, I got my first huge solo... Sang New Soul! I'm not very proud of my performance, but I'm glad I did it because I'm getting out of my little singing shell! Anyways, I'm proud of everyone who sang and I feel like a proud little sister whenever I heard Lauren sing. :) I'll miss all the seniors :( You guys contributed a lot to my year and I love you all.
